Zauditu gold Pattern Werk (1/8 Birr) EE 1917 (1925) AU58 NGC, Addis Ababa mint, KM-M1, Fr-26, Gill-Y.21. 4.85gm. Obv. Crowned, veiled, and draped bust left. Rev. Crowned Lion of Judah left, head facing, cradling cruciform staff with banner in raised forepaws, full legend below. Struck with the reverse die for the 1/32 Birr type of Menelik II, the denomination officially effaced at the Addis Ababa mint. The coin is the only example graded by NGC, and the first of its type sold by Heritage.
