Nürnberg. Free City "Town Hall" Taler ND (c. 1658-1705) AU55 PCGS, Dav-5663. 43.5mm. Stamped "P.H.M." for PH Müller. Struck on the dedication of the new town hall. The first example of this scarce type that we have had the privilege to offer, combining a stunning and beautifully engraved obverse motif, the seated personification of Nürnberg, with the classic and beloved city view design on the reverse. Lightly patinated with a sound strike rendering admirable detail throughout.
