Great Britain
Edward III (1327-1377) gold 1/4 Noble ND (1361) AU55 NGC, London mint, Transitional Treaty Period, S-1501, N-1224. Premium for its certification, with delicate luster and strong gold color; the sharpness that this piece displays seems more suited to a Mint State grade. One of the few medieval issues which can be pinned down to a specific year, produced at the commencement of the Treaty of Brétigny.
