Edward III (1327-1377) gold Noble ND (1351-1352) AU50 NGC, London mint, Cross 1 mm, Pre-Treaty period, S-1486, N-1144. Type C. Crowned king with sword and shield standing facing in ship / Floriate cross with closed Є in central quadrilobe. With minor wear diagnostic of limited circulation, retaining some sharp detail in areas such as Edward's portrait and elements of the ship's detailing. An earlier pre-Treaty type, uncommonly encountered compared to later issues and an essential addition to the type collection of Edwardian Nobles.
