Great Britain
Edward III (1327-1377) gold Noble ND (1356-1361) MS62 NGC, London mint, Pre-Treaty Period, S-1490, N-1180. Crowned king with sword and shield standing facing in ship, a saltire before the king's name / Floriate cross with Є in central quadrilobe, cross 3 mm. Absolutely marvelous, a superlative Noble struck firmly and centrally on a perfect planchet leaving a pronounced lip of metal around the entirety of the circumference. Some areas of softness are noted, Edward's face somewhat blurred, but these are likely diagnostic of worn dies as opposed to any evidence of handling. Scarcely encountered so appealing as this, a true Mint State piece.
