Great Britain
Henry IV (1399-1413) gold Noble ND (1412-1413) AU Details (Damaged) NGC, London mint, Cross pattée mm, S-1715, N-1355. Crowned king with sword and shield standing facing in ship / Floriate cross with h in central quadrilobe. Damaged, presumably from soil recovery, a piece bearing scrapes and a central crease. However, it remains an appealing large-size gold offering, coins of Henry IV's reign arguably amongst the most difficult to obtain out of all Medieval monarchs. Small spots of red wax to both sides serve as evidence that this piece has been plated in an early 20th century or 19th century catalogue.
