Great Britain
Richard III Groat ND (1483-1485) VF35 ANACS, London mint, Halved Sun and Rose (SR1) mm, S-2154, N-1679. 2.85gm. A covetable emission from the infamous final king of the House of York prior to the rise of the Tudors, the coin at hand quite literally holds a highly polished portrait of Richard--nearly the whole of the tressure surrounding the bust filled with thick die polish. Despite the assigned grade, notably more flatness appears on the coin than wear, and even here this is comparatively light, leaving an incredibly desirable type representative sure to garner ample attention among bidders. Mislabeled on the holder as York mint.
