Great Britain
James I (1603-1625) gold Double Crown ND (1604-1605) VF Details (Obverse Scratched) NGC, Tower mint, Lis mm, S-2621, N-2086. A crease in the flan has led to localized wear to James's portrait; this indicates that this wavy planchet was a product of the Mint and not later damage. A light chevron-shaped scratch resides in the obverse field defining the grade, but in general this scarce denomination is pleasing to the eye.
