George III gold Sovereign 1820 MS62 PCGS, KM674, S-3785C. Large Dot, Open 2 variety. The final year of issue for George III's Sovereign series. When encountered the type normally displays either wear or heavier bagmarks or other signs of handling, a feature absent from the present near-choice offering, displaying lustrous surfaces with a scintillating brilliance concentrated within the obverse peripheral regions. The reverse is satiny and exceptionally preserved, dappled with touches of amber throughout.
