Fatimid. al-Zahir (AH 411-427 / AD 1021-1036) gold Dinar AH 424 (AD 1032/3) VF Details (Damaged) NGC, Filastin mint, A-714.2, cf. SICA-532 (date unlisted). 3.95gm. With letter zayn in center. A rare and extremely desirable emission from the Fatimid mint in Palestine, appearing quite presentable despite the noted "damage"--which appears to largely consist of some unevenness to the flan. Highly unusual to find so well-engraved, particularly in this grade, the mint and date exceptionally clear.
