Gorinchem. City gold Imitative Rose Noble ND (1583-1591) XF45 NGC, Fr-80, S-1952, Schneider-851. 7.48gm. Struck in imitation of the gold Ryal (Rose Noble) issues produced under the reign of Edward IV, this type still bearing his name in the obverse legend. The surfaces are a brassy hue of gold, with the majority of the detail well-outlined and dressed in earthen tones that create an accentuating effect, the strike placed on a broad, attractive flan.
