Transvaal. Republic bronze Proof Pattern 2 Pence 1874 PR65 Brown NGC, Brussels mint, KM-XPn3, Hern-T19. Estimated Mintage: 50. A darkly toned example with satiny tones of glowing iridescent blue. Hern notes that these were salesman samples and were therefore produced in a Prooflike finish, although the surfaces are not as reflective as most Proof issues.
