British Protectorate. Sultan Ali bin Hamud 20 Cents 1908 UNC Details (Cleaned) NGC, KM10. A very scarce type, representing another of the Zanzibar 1908 issues never released into circulation. Any past cleaning must have been exceptionally light, as the planchet is not only quite lustrous but also devoid of any clear signs of touching up visible to the naked eye. One of the great rarities of Africa, demonstrably worthy of a strong bid.
