Sasmas, son of Doxandros (Cypriot for King of Marion), lion standing right, licking its right foreleg; Boeotian shield above (off flan), floral pattern in exergue / Marieuse (Cypriot), Phrixus, son of Athamas, King of Boeotia, standing left, clinging to the back of a ram standing left; Boeotian shield on ground, all in incuse square. BMC pl. XIII, 11 (uncertain mint). SNG Copenhagen 24. A great Mythological type.
