Constantinople, AD 989-1001. + IhS XPS RЄX RЄGNANTIЧM, bust of Christ facing, wearing nimbus cruciger with seven pellets in a star pattern in each arm, pallium and colobium, right hand raised in benediction, book of Gospels in left / +bASIL C' CONStANtI b R, crowned half-length facing busts of Basil II (on left), with short beard, wearing loros, and Constantine VIII (on right), beardless, wearing chlamys pinned on right shoulder, jointly holding patriarchal cross crosslet between them.
