Louis XV gold Louis d'Or 1739-A MS62 NGC, Paris mint, KM489.1, Gad-340. Far nicer than the grade suggests, with radiating, golden surfaces and fully-raised design features, particularly atop the King's features. Typical abrasions from handling, along with a few more heavier grazes, ultimately preclude the choice designation. Still very collectible in all regards.
