Edward VI (1547-1553) 6 Pence ND (1551-1553) XF45 NGC, Tower mint, Tun mm, Fine Silver issue, S-2483. 2.78gm. Considerably scarcer than Edward's shilling issues, this gorgeous 6 Pence proves very charming to the eye--the devices very well-engraved and despite some flatness and light corrosion on the bust, the piece on the whole appears very near AU. Still quite lustrous and second highest grade yet awarded for the type by NGC, we note that a much flatter-looking XF45 brought $1020 in our January sale.
