Russian Federation Mint Error - Incorrect Planchet, Double Reverse bi-metallic "Swan Lake" 50 Roubles 1997 MS65 PCGS, St. Petersburg mint, cf. KM-Y572 (for standard gold striking). 4.70gm. Struck with two reverse dies on a bi-metallic plan planchet. A very rare error striking sure to appeal to modern Russian collectors, this being the first we have seen and only the second we have been able to locate coming to auction, the other piece (which weighed 4.97gm) realizing 1700 CHF in Sincona's October 2017 Auction 42 (lot 1415). Mislabeled on the holder as being struck with 2 obverse dies.
