TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, lead weight (525g), Robinson Plate 5.3, and the Phayre #2 (Robinson Plate 6.2), 72mm, stylized hintha bird, with fancy tail, long beak, and curled crest // complex Burmese-Mon legend in 7 lines (never deciphered), both sides with broad raised margin, choice VF, RRR. This is heavier than all previously reported specimens (heaviest on Robinson Plate 5.4 at 456.85g), and certainly one of the finest known, with the legend almost completely preserved.
