TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, cast large tin coin (86.57g), Robinson-, 70mm, knotted dragon right with long protruding pointed tongue, 6-point rosette below with horizontal center // different 3-line Burmese legend, still undeciphered (except the bottom line, which is 361 ma), unpublished & extremely rare, bold casting, from the same mold as #254297, EF-AU, RRR. Differs from Robinson Plate 9.1 by the rosette and the previously unknown Burmese legend. Examples of this new type for the heaviest group thus far reported, weighing 77g to 86g. The means of "361" remains mysterious, as it does fit with any of the Burmese calendars then in use.
