CEYLON: George III, 1796-1820, AE 1/48 rixdollar, 1802, KM-75, Elephant left, struck at the Soho Mint, Birmingham, by Matthew Boulton, PCGS graded PF63 BR, ex Jerry D. Williams Collection; ex Victor Gadoury. In 1802 Ceylon was made a British Crown Colony, and, by the Treaty of Amiens with France, British possession of maritime Ceylon was confirmed. 2nd finest graded at PCGS.
