Watch List notes:

LEBANON: Republic, AV 50 piastres, 1975, KM-28a, type C, trial strike in gold, PCGS graded Specimen 69, RRR, ex Sherritt Mint Archives. The Sherritt Mint struck 500,000 nickel 24mm 50 piastre coins for the Bank of Lebanon in 1974 which were dated 1975. They struck another 5,500,000 of the same nickel coins in 1975, but 23.8mm in size. We know of only 3 off metal strikes in gold which are not listed on the Sherritt Mint Annual Coinage Summaries of 1974 or 1975. Finest graded at both PCGS and NGC.
