ARAB-SASANIAN: Yazdigerd type, 652-668, AR drachm (3.84g), BN (possibly Bamm), year 33, A-1, pellet at 11:30 in reverse margin; the Islamic phrase bism Allah in ObQ2 has been scratched out on this piece, presumably by a non-Muslim opposed to the Muslim faith, very rare mint for this type, VF, RR. The year 33 is written SYCSY in Pahlavi, which could also be interpreted as the Muslim year AH33 rather than the posthumous Yazdigerd year 33 (AH33 = YE22).
Estimate: 200-300 USD
