UMAYYAD OF SPAIN:LOT of 58 copper coins, including 40 examples of the early Umayyad period, both before and after the split between the original Umayyads and their descendents in Spain (average VG condition, mostly in need some some cleaning), an interesting group for this little promoted series; and 18 examples of later coppers, from the Muluk al-Tawa'if and later (including 2 examples of the last Nasrid series, both of Gharnata and both probably dated AH879, one Fine, but half-flat, the other VG-Fine, pierced); retail value $850, lot of 58 pieces.
