Philippines Bank of the Philippine Islands 100 Pesos 1.1.1912 Pick 11b PCGS Very Fine 20. A pleasing example of this rare, higher denomination type. Only 5,000 notes were printed with the signature combination of Garcia and Sendres, which indicates that very few examples have survived to be enjoyed today. At the time of issue, this denomination was equitable to $50 U.S. Dollars in silver, which was quite substantial at the time. A very pretty note. It is a well pedigreed example that was last sold in the Dr. Greg Pineda collection sale in June 2012 sold for $2,760.
