Argentina Provincia de Buenos Ayres 5 Pesos 1.1.1885 Pick S563s Specimen PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ. Argentina at the time allowed its own provinces to issue their own banknotes, all denominated in the national currency. However, earlier examples were all in different designs, as each province was free to contract the designs of notes. Eventually, designs were standardized with the introduction of the Bancos Nacionales Garantidos series in 1888.
