Scotland Union Bank of Scotland Limited 5 Pounds Pick S811c (Calloway-Murphy UB64c, BY SC912d) Fifth General issue and first year issue for this type dated 15th December 1933 serial number C 200/103 with printed signatures Norman L. Hird titled General Manager and John D. Wink titled Chief Accountant. The note in blue on yellow underprint with large "FIVE" on an elaborate guilloche with red sunbursts where the rays are made out of a repetitive "The Union Bank of Scotland Limited" wording and The Bank's Coat of Arms at upper centre and two equestrian statues at lower left and right on obverse and the reverse in blue with a guilloche design at centre with large 5 circled by "The Union Bank of Scotland Limited". Printed by Waterlow & Sons Limited, London Wall, London these Fifth issue 5 Pound notes were printed on plates of 4 notes and numbered in books of 200. Fine - about VF and a scarce issue
