SICILY. Katane. Circa 461-450 BC. Litra (Silver, 13 mm, 0.68 g, 7 h). Head of Silenos to right, wearing wreath of ivy and an animal ear. Rev. KAT-ANE Winged thunderbolt; two shields flanking. Boehringer, Kataneische, Series I, Li 1. HGC 2, 587. SNG ANS 1238. Part of the edge chipped off and glued back together, otherwise, very fine.
