A note from BCD: This is the only one out of his four auction catalogues that includes ancient coins. In addition to some choice Greek there is a run of Cistophori and a great quantity of Flavian denarii, obviously from a hoard. Byzantine gold occupies the final section of the six plates that illustrate ancients. A scarce catalogue.
