Charles II (1660-85), silver Shilling, first hammered issue (1660-61), crowned bust left, plain field, legend and outer toothed border surrounding both sides, initial mark crown, CAROLVS. II. D. G. MAG. BRIT. FR. ET. HIB. REX, rev. long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, .CHRISTO. AVSPICE. REGNO., weight 6.03g (Bull 273; ESC 1009; N.2762; S.3308). Toned, a little double-struck in parts, some light hairlines, rim chip on reverse, otherwise very fine and scarce.
