A few light bagmarks, otherwise extremely fine and rare the date not present in the Schneider Collection.
Calendar year mintage 598,547.
The so-called first bust depiction of William IV was only used on Sovereigns of 1831 and 1832 with its rounded top to the ear and a differing position of the bust compared to the legend surrounding. The "second" bust though used concurrently with the first bust, lasted much longer in use till the end of the reign in 1837.
