India, Katoch dynasty of Kangra. Triloka Chandra Deva. Ca. post-1250 A.D.. Æ jital (14 mm, 3.36 g). Stylized horseman right / Nagari legend in 3 lines: Maharaja/ Sri Singara/ Chandra Deva. Tye 70. Scarce. .

Kangra is a massive fort in modern-day Himachal Pradesh, in the low foothills of the Himalayas. The Hindu kings who ruled Kangra for over two centuries after the coming of Islam are almost unknown in history; their existence was shadowy and the dating of their reigns is tentative. Their coins are fairly scarce, not well-studied, and difficult to find.
