PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Arsinoe II Philadelphos. Died 270/268 BC. AV Mnaieion – "Oktadrachm" (29mm, 27.08 g, 12h). Alexandreia mint. Struck under Ptolemy VI or VIII, circa 180-115 BC. Head right with ram's horn, veiled and wearing stephanos; lotus-tipped scepter in background, K to left / Double cornucopia, grape bunches hanging at sides, bound with fillet. Cf. Svoronos 1242, 1374, and 1498–9; Olivier Group 7, 3520–2 (D42/R119); SNG Copenhagen –. Lustrous, light hairlines, once mounted with signs of repair to the edge. EF.
