KINGS of PERSIS. Vādfradād (Autophradates) I. 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 16.35 g, 3h). Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Head right, with mustache and earring, wearing diadem and kyrbasia / Fire temple of Ahura-Mazda; above, half-figure of Ahura-Mazda; to left, Vādfradād standing right standard to right. K&M –; cf. Alram 540 and 542 (for type); cf. De Morgan 12a and pl. XXVII, 19 (same); cf. BMC 1 (same); Sunrise 570 (this coin). Toned, crystallized surfaces, minor die breaks on double struck reverse. VF.
