James II (1685-88), proof Halfcrown, 1687 tertio, second laureate and draped bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform (ESC 758 ~\not traced\\~ (501) R6; S.3409), lightly toned and with reflective fields, as struck and of the highest rarity, perhaps even unique, this example being the only one to appear on the market in living memory, in NGC 'Waterbird' holder, graded PF63 (Cert #4861773-001).
