Victoria (1837-1901), Halfcrown, 1839, young head left, with two plain fillets binding hair, w.w. incuse on truncation, date below, rev. crowned shield in wreath, milled edge (Davies 562; ESC 2711 (672) - R4; S.3885), toned, near extremely fine, and extremely rare for this date as a currency issue, this example probably one of the finest extant, in NGC 'Waterbird' holder, graded AU53 (Cert. #4861777-014).
