Banque de Syrie, 25 piastres, 1st July 1920, serial number B/P 097793, blue on multicolour underprint, the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus at low centre, value at each corner, Berard and Stobert signatures below, reverse purple and green, horse low centre flanked by values, corinthian columns at left and right,, (Pick 13, Djaroueh SY14), lightly pressed nevertheless good very fine, paper retains much of its original quality and therefore excessively rare.
