East African Protectorate, 5 rupees, Mombasa, 1 December 1918, red serial number A/5 25001, black and white, with green guilloches top left and right and value in green underprint at centre, signature of William Alfred Kempe low right, (Pick 2a, TBB B101d), in PMG Currency holder 55 NET about uncirculated (Rust, Pinholes). The A/5 listed as unconfirmed in the Banknote Book and this note quite probably the number 1 note for issue. Extremely rare and possibly a discovery note.
