A lovely Colima figure from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC - 300 AD. This fine example depicts a seated female, posed with arms crossed over the chest. She is wearing a long skirt and a simple headdress. Her head is hollow and open at the top, forming a receptacle for an offering. In excellent condition, with good mineral deposits on the highly burnished red slip. Value range: $300 - $500.
