Lucania, Velia (c.440-400 BC), Silver Didrachm, head of Athena facing right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with a griffin on the bowl and a scroll and palmette on the neck-guard, rev [Y]EΛHTΩ-N, lion bringing down a stag right, beaded line below, 7.49g, 4h (Williams 154(m) (O.103/R.120), this coin; SNG ANS 1254; HN Italy 1270).Small die-flaw on the reverse, lightly toned, very fine with a fine old pedigree.
