Rev. balloon with parachute above city.Malpas 13; J&F 910.Jean-Pierre Blanchard (1753-1809) made the first flight in Germany at Frankfurt on October 3rd 1785. After gaining enough height, he dropped a parachute to which a dog was attached. The animal landed several hundred metres from Frankfurt. After a flight of 33 minutes, Blanchard landed at Weilburg.
