CRUSADERS. Beyliks of Western Asia Minor. After 1348. EL ducat. 3.38 gm. 22 mm. Late 'K' series, imitating the Venetian ducats of Andrea Dantolo (1344-1354). Doge to right, kneeling left, grasping long scepter held by St. Mark to left, standing right before him; ANDR DANDVLO S N VENETI DVX / Christ standing facing, raising hand in benediction and holding Gospels, in mandorla (iconographic frame) with nine stars; SIT T XPE DATO T V K SIS ISTE DVCAT.
