THE BRUSSELS HOARD. Provincial Mints. Henry III, Penny, Long Cross, type 3b, Willem of Carlisle mint (William of Thiparun), bearded portrait facing, rev long cross, three pellets in angles, 1.40g (Brussels Car 21). A little weakness, reverse off-centre, very fine, the rarest mint in the Brussels Hoard, one of only eight Carlisle coins in this class and a total of only 18 in the entire hoard.
