BRITISH COINS. AN OLD COLLECTION OF GOLD ANGELS, HALF-ANGELS AND QUARTER-ANGELS. Henry VI (restored), Gold Angel, lis group, St Michael with one foot within dragon, tail terminates next to left wing tip, hENRICVSDEIGRAREX ANGLZFRANC, no initial mark, rev ship sailing right with bowsprit that intrudes wording, lis further from mast, larger shield, PER CRV C TVA SALVA` nO`XPC`REDEMTOR, lis at end of legend – possibly indicative of striking at York, 5.06g (Schneider 447; N 1613; S 2078). Spade mark on the obverse, with a touch of porosity, otherwise good very fine and on par with the Schneider specimen, extremely rare.
