Henry VIII (1509-1547), Gold Angel, first coinage, St Michael with both feet on dragon, tail nearly meets left wing tip and wire line inner circle, initial mark downward pheon (1509) both sides, hENRICV.I.I.I?DI`GRA`REXAGL'ZFR , rev ship sailing right, bowsprit crosses rope and nearly touches wire line circle, h touches rope, large curved rudder, PERCRVCE`TVA `SALVA nOS XPE`RED`, 4.43g (cf Schneider 556; N 1760; S 2265). Uneven tone, clipped and weak in parts, about very fine.
