Elizabeth I, Gold Angel, fifth issue, St Michael slaying dragon, large wings, tail terminates in field, head of dragon touches wing tip, inner and outer beaded circle, initial mark Latin Cross (1 June 1580 - 31 December 1581) both sides, ELIZABETH:D'.G'.ANG'.FR'ET:HI'.REGINA, rev ship sailing right, three left ropes, two right, long bowsprit crosses both ropes and touches inner beaded circle, outer beaded circle, A:DNO: FACTVM.EST:ISTVD:ET.EST.MIRABI'., 5.21g (cf Schneider 768; N 1991/1; S 2525). Three short parallel scratches to right of angel's wing, tiny flan split, red tone, bold very fine, the reverse better, attractive and rare.
