Edward IV (second reign, 1471-1483), Gold Angelet or Half-Angel, with obverse legend each side, St Michael slaying dragon, lower leg reaches legend, tail nearly touches lower left wing feathers, head touches right wing tip, roped circle, initial mark Annulet (1471-1472) on obverse only, EDWARD' DI GRA REXANGL', rev ship sailing right, indistinct bowsprit reaches legend, rose very distant from mast, obverse type legend on reverse, one sea crescent in hull, EDWARD' DI GRA.REX'ANGLZFR, 2.49g (Schneider 472; N 1629; S 2095). Struck from rusty dies and some die flaws on the reverse, otherwise very fine and a very unusual variety with obverse legend on both sides, extremely rare.
