BRITISH COINS.AN OLD COLLECTION OF BRITISH FARTHINGS. George II (1727-1760), Proof Silver Farthing, 1730, struck on a slightly irregular flan, young laureate and cuirassed bust left, GEORGIVS. II.REX., rev struck en médaille, Britannia seated left, date below in exergue, BRITAN NIA., edge plain (Peck 755). Attractively toned, a few tiny contact marks to the obverse, otherwise practically as struck, lustrous and very rare.
