James II (1685-1688), Gold Two-Guineas, 1688, 8 struck over 7, laureate head left, rev crowned cruciform shields, sceptres in angles, edge obliquely grained (MCE 121; S 3399). Toned, a few spots and hairlines, obverse nearly very fine, the reverse bold very fine, scarce.
