William and Mary, Gold Two-Guineas, 1694, 4 struck over 3, conjoined busts right, legend and toothed border surrounding, rev crowned quartered and scalloped shield with an escutcheon of the Lion of Nassau, date and legend surrounding, edge obliquely grained (MCE 146; S 3424). Lightly hairlined both sides, more in the obverse field, some light friction to the highest points, attractively toned with proof-like finish, pleasing extremely fine and rare.
